Grooming Packages and Options
Every cat is different, we customize each groom to your cat's specific needs
*All prices are starting points, each cat is different and charges vary based on how your cat behaves and what their coat condition is like. While we're happy to give you an estimate, it's just that, an estimate.
Full Shave/Lion Cut

A full shave or lion cut is often done when a cat has such long/thick hair that gets matted easily. With this groom we will ask what your style preferences are such a mane size and tail style (full tail or lion tail). You also have the option of a wet bath or no bath.
*If your cat is getting a lion cut for the first time, they may be a little shy for a few days. After all they're feeling naked and exposed. This is normal and they will adjust to the new feeling and be themselves again soon! Lion cuts start at $110-$120 without bath, $115-125 with bath ** Extra fees for matting can be anywhere from $10-$100 more than the base groom price. Partial Shave/T-Cut

A partial shave or T-Cut is often done on longer haired cats that do not mat on most of their body, just the belly area. We either shave or trim between the armpits, down the belly, and sanitary area. (Forming a T shape). This helps maintain their long coat elsewhere, while preventing painful matting in sensitive areas.
Partial shaves could also include just spot shaving mats as needed. Partial shaves are available with or without a wet bath. Partial shaves start at $40-$60 without a bath, $75-90 with a bath *extra fees for matting |
Guard Comb Cut

A guard comb cut is a medium length haircut that will help keep your long haired cat's coat at a more manageable length without shaving them. Basically it will turn your long haired cat into a short hair cat. Guard comb cuts don't lay as nice and smooth as a shave does, but to get this cut to look as nice as possible a thorough bath and blow dry is needed. This haircut is more time consuming and requires a lot of patience on the cat's part so it is not recommended for every cat. Cannot be done on matted, tangled or aggressive cats.

Cat Bath/De-Shed

Cats need baths for a variety of reasons, excessive shedding or oily skin/coat, an owner with allergies, because they don't self groom themselves. We use shampoos specially formulated for cats and then a combination of gentle blow drying and brushing to get undercoat out, release dander, and keep your cat squeeky clean.
A note on Flea Baths- While we are happy to do a flea bath, the shampoo will only kill what it touches. Chances are there will still be live fleas on your cat, in their bedding and in your home. A flea bath is not a subsitute for a preventative from your vet. If your cat has fleas you will be charged a $5 sanitization fee for the deep cleaning and thorough sanititzation of the whole salon. Nail Trim

If your cat is destroying your furniture or tearing up your legs a nail trim will certainly help. Cats also need nail trims as they get older and they stop "filing down" their nails as much as they used to with scratching posts etc. If left untrimmed nails can grow out and curl around to the point that they're growing back into a cat's paw pads which is of course very painful.
Cat nail trims start at $18 We are happy to apply nail caps to the front nails too. We use Soft Paws brand nail caps, you do not need to supply them. Cats' grooming needs vary greatly. We can do a combination of any of these services as well. As we have come to find, cat grooming doesn't generally fit in this box or that, but rather is on more of a scale and a case by case basis. Your cat's coat and individual needs will be assessed on check in at which time we will discuss exactly what is best for your cat.

This all seems rather expensive??

Cat grooming is more expensive than dog grooming for several reasons, the most significant of which is the risk in grooming cats. Cat bites are very dangerous and can cause life threatening infections. This risk means that we need to carry additional insurance and workman's comp, as well as specialized tools and methods for cats. We also use 2 people for every cat to make sure the employees and cats are as safe as possible.
